Specialist Music Teacher (Part-Time)

Ghilgai Steiner School is a small, well-established P-6 school located at the foot of Mount Dandenong in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. 

We are seeking a passionate music teacher to work with our primary school classes 1 day per week, commencing in Term 2. 

 

Selection criteria

  • Background or interest in Steiner, Orff or Kodaly approaches
  • VIT registered teacher
  • Relevant musical skills, qualifications and experience
  • Willingness to work in consultation with each Class Teacher
  • A wish to discover and work with the unique aspects of Ghilgai’s curriculum 
  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Well organised with strong planning and documentation abilities
  • Excellent communications skills 
  • Dynamism and a wish to contribute to the wider cultural life of the school and community
