Join Our Counselling Team at Trinity Grammar School, Kew
We’re seeking a School Psychologist to join our Counselling team. This is a part-time (0.6FTE) term time only, on-going position commencing as soon as possible. This role presents a great opportunity for psychologists with two or more years of practice experience; the position works predominantly with Senior School students but will also have involvement with the Junior School.
About The Role
The School Psychologist at Trinity Grammar School plays a vital role in supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development of students through psychological guidance and support. This position works in close partnership with teachers, parents, and other professionals to help students thrive, and to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive school community.
The School Psychologist draws on a broad skill set, from various modalities, to support students in navigating a wide range of social, emotional and behavioural challenges that may affect their wellbeing, engagement, and learning outcomes. The School Psychologist provides both proactive and responsive support, working directly with students. Within their professional scope of practice, you will also work in close collaboration with the School Counselling team and other allied health professionals.
The role requires initiative, sound professional judgment, and a high level of discretion in addressing issues related to the wellbeing of students. Within the school, this position works closely with other Counselling Team members, the Enhanced Learning Team, Deputy Head of Schools, Wellbeing Coordinator and Heads of Year.
