Laboratory Technician Assistant (fixed term, part time, term time)
Luther College seeks the services of an experienced science Laboratory Technician Assistant to join the team in a fixed term, part time, term time capacity, commencing as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and understanding of correct procedures for preparing, handling, storing and disposing of chemicals and other scientific material. You will support teaching staff with practical activities in the classroom and will therefore require working knowledge of chemistry, biology, physics, laboratory, and safety practices. The successful candidate must have excellent planning and time management skills, and the flexibility to work as part of a team or with autonomy.
The Laboratory Technician Assistant will be required to work across 4 days per week approximately 3.5 hours per day. This position has a classification of School Officer Grade B – Resources Stream as per the Lutheran Education (Victorian Schools) Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018.
Applicants must already hold an Employee Working with Children Check clearance and be able to transfer this to Luther College.
