Job Description

Ivanhoe Grammar School is a co-educational school with campuses in Ivanhoe, Doreen and Macleod.

A central philosophy of the School is to develop and educate young people of character and this philosophy extends beyond the classroom; learning is an important aspect of life and we honour this not only as educators but as an organisation. Staff are encouraged to pursue their interests through personal development and extended learning opportunities and are supported to do and be their best.

We believe that school is defined by its people and at the heart of Ivanhoe Grammar School is a commitment to appointing great people.

About the role

We warmly invite applications for the position of an Ordained Anglican Chaplain or Lay Chaplain to join our Plenty Campus on a part-time 0.6 basis, three days per week: Tuesday and Fridays are essential with the third day being negotiable. This is an ongoing position commencing in Term 2, 2022.

This is an opportunity to lead the spiritual development of the Foundation to Year 12 Student body and join a vibrant and energetic staff on a Campus that is experiencing growth in both enrolment and facilities. The School prides itself on following the tenets of positive education and infusing this positivity into its wellbeing programs.

The role includes a small teaching role in Faith Ethics and Attitudes or another suitable subject. Our School is constantly improving teaching and learning with fresh and dynamic curriculum initiatives and is seeking a passionate educator keen to work closely with the Chaplaincy Team in supporting the wellbeing and spiritual development of our community and the relevant Faculty Head in preparing and teaching innovative programs of study.

The Plenty Campus of Ivanhoe Grammar School is a stunning place of work. Set in beautiful gardens on the Northern Fringe, class sizes are small, our staff are dedicated and long serving and the School is committed to an academic learning culture.
