Crest Education comprises two independent, coeducational schools with over 2,000 students, an Equestrian Centre and an Environmental Reserve. Hillcrest Christian College, established in 1981, operates from Early Learning to VCE levels. Rivercrest Christian College, which opened in 2014, has Early Learning and students to Year 8 in 2021. It is an authorised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) World School and is a Middle Years Programme (MYP) candidate school.

 

The position of IT Support Officer (Level 1), reporting to the ICT Operations Manager, is designed to service the needs of staff and students.

This role has a customer service focus and works in cooperation with the Client Systems Administrator and Network Manager.

The IT Support Officer will be responsible for

  • Performing the College’s Help Desk function and ensuring that the requests of internal clients are responded to promptly and effectively
  • Acting as ‘front of house’ for the ICT Department triaging all requests and escalating to Level 2 Support, or ICT Operations Manager as required.
  • Providing Level 1 support for the College’s ICT infrastructure. This includes providing phone and face to face support for hardware and software, maintenance and upgrades.
  • Recording asset movement in and out of the storeroom.

The successful candidate will:

  • have demonstrated customer service skills, including a flexible and friendly approach
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • have a demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively and cope in pressured and demanding situations
  • have an ability to be a valuable contributor to a close-knit team approach
  • be competent using technology including Microsoft Windows and knowledgeable about various devices – PC’s, tablets, iPads, printers
  • be experienced with trouble shooting, installing and maintaining ICT systems
  • have current knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety requirements

 

Generally, regular hours of work are between 8:25am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, although this is negotiable (e.g. if the successful candidate has part-time study commitments).

Four weeks of paid annual leave applies to this role.

Salary will be commensurate with the level of the role and the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
