Violin / Cello Teacher

Balcombe Grammar School is an independent co-educational Foundation to Year 12 school located in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula. 

We are seeking expressions of interest from Violin/Cello teacher to develop a beginner ensemble program and provide instrumental lessons to students in both the Primary and Secondary School. 

The role involves recruiting students, promoting instrumental music, teaching individual and shared lessons and assisting with various school events throughout the year. There is currently approximately three hours of teaching which we will be supporting to increase. 

The successful candidate should: 

• Demonstrate success in teaching individual and shared lessons with experience across all year levels 
• Be experienced with strategies to recruit new players 
• Be familiar with working within a school environment 
• Have a proven ability to engage with students at all levels of competency 
• Hold suitable tertiary qualifications in music or education and either be VIT registered or hold a current Working With Children Check
