VCE Biology Teacher

An opportunity has arisen for a committed and experienced VCE Biology Teacher to join our School community. This is a part time, ongoing position, with an approximate teaching load of 0.5, commencing in Term 1, 2023.

Reporting into the Head of Science, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across the Senior School (Years 7 - 12), particularly VCE Biology (Units 1 - 4).

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:

• Current VIT Registration.
• Previous experience teaching VCE Biology (Units 1 - 4) is essential.
• A current knowledge of Australian Curriculum imperatives as they impact on Science, in particular VCE Biology.
• Proven VCE performance and outcomes.
• Demonstrated innovative use of ICT to enrich learning.
• Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
• Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and willingness to embrace the St Catherine’s Teaching for Thinking culture.
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting and contributing to a collegial environment.
• Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times.
