CREST Education comprises two independent, coeducational schools with over 2,200 students, an Equestrian Centre and an Environmental Reserve at Clyde North. Hillcrest Christian College, established in 1981, operates from Early Learning to VCE levels. Rivercrest Christian College is an authorised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) World School, with modern facilities at Clyde North. It is a growing College, adding a new year level each year; our first Year 11 classes commence in 2024.
CREST Education has an exciting new opportunity commencing in January 2024 – for an Outdoor Leadership Trainee. Due to the funding arrangements, people with tertiary qualifications need not apply for the traineeship. The one-year traineeship will be particularly valuable for people considering career pathways in the education, outdoor recreation or sport industries.
The successful candidate will be:
· physically fit and enjoy practical learning
· enthusiastic about camping and completing a Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership and training in first aid, bushwalking and kayaking
· experienced in Christian youth ministry (would be an advantage)
· holding a current drivers’ licence (would be an advantage)

A National Training Wage and superannuation are paid and course costs will be covered upon successful completion of the training.
The proposed course is a Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership through Outer Eastern Training Institute. The employer is open to considering alternative relevant Certificate III or IV courses.
