Visual Art
Artists are creative thinkers combining the knowledge of materials, tools and methods with a rich imagination or source of inspiration and deep sensitivity.
Visual Art at Erasmus aims to inspire each student with a love of the practice, sharing and observation of visual art. Working with attention and intelligence on tasks using a range of media (e.g. ceramic, pencil, lino prints, mosaics etc.) and techniques, students experiment and explore, allowing natural creativity to flow. Real objects and works from Great Masters are key, and introduced throughout the curriculum to inspire and strengthen their knowledge and understanding of Art and the order, beauty and glory of the creation. Works of the Great Masters also show artistic skill of the highest order.
