Oxley Christian College is currently seeking enthusiastic Casual Relief Teachers (CRTs) to support our Junior School (Prep – Year 6) team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching and able to support student learning within a caring Christian environment. Successful applicants will be able to work from a Biblical perspective and uphold the College’s values while delivering lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Teaching: Deliver engaging learning experiences using lesson plans and resources provided by the classroom teacher.
  • Biblical Perspective: Support the integration of Biblical principles and a Christian worldview within classroom interactions and learning activities.
  • Upholding College Values: Demonstrate a strong commitment to the values and ethos of Oxley Christian College, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, organised and respectful classroom environment conducive to student learning and wellbeing.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively with members of the Junior School community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Primary Education or a related field (with teaching qualifications).
  • Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
  • Experience teaching primary-aged students is preferred. 
  • Ability to teach from a Biblical perspective and support Christian values in teaching practice. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Flexibility, reliability and a willingness to contribute positively to the life of the College.
