Classroom Teacher - Prep/1

Sunshine Christian School is seeking a caring and compassionate Prep/1 teacher who is innovative, passionate and team orientated.

The successful candidate will need to have (or attain) accreditation as required by the Lutheran Church of Australia (please see position description for further details).

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will have:

• teaching qualifications and training that satisfy registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
• an ability to demonstrate and exemplify the school’s values of compassion, forgiveness, service and courage.
• an excellent knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and in catering for a diverse range of learners in a multicultural classroom through varied learning opportunities and sound pedagogical principles
• proven experience at fostering excellent relationships with children
• a passion for teaching and learning
• proven ability to work collegially and collaboratively with colleagues
• a proven ability to lead staff effectively, fostering a positive and professional team culture
