PARED Victoria established Harkaway Hills College in 2016 and most recently launched Lysterfield Lake College in 2022. Lysterfield Lake College is an independent Catholic school for boys located in Narre Warren North. Harkaway Hills College is seeking a Primary Classroom Teacher for commencement on January 2027. The College appoints staff who are energetic, innovative and committed to the ethos of our school. Successful applicants will be outstanding educators with demonstrated success in teaching, excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to pastoral care and curriculum development.

The Role

Harkaway Hills College is seeking a full time Primary Teacher for commencement on 1 January 2027. The College appoints staff who are energetic, innovative and committed to the ethos of our school. Successful applicants will be outstanding educators with demonstrated success in teaching, excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to pastoral care and curriculum development.

It is expected that applicants reflect the mission and values of the College both personally and professionally and possess the ability to create an exciting and challenging learning environment.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes include:

·         Appropriate teaching qualifications and current VIT registration, with a valid Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate (Level 2 minimum).

·         Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of PARED Victoria and the Catholic ethos of the College.

·         Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching and student learning, with enthusiasm, energy and a passion for education.

·         Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

·         Flexible, professional and student-focused approach, with a commitment to ongoing professional learning and building positive relationships with students, families and the wider community.  

Specific Child Safety Requirements:

 Applicants must demonstrate

·         The capacity to model and consistently uphold a Child Safe Culture including the College’s Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy, and the Child Safe Code of Conduct both personally and professionally.  Refer to the links below to access these policies.

·         Suitability to work with children including positive attitudes toward child safety and child empowerment.

·         A willingness to participate in ongoing child safety training.
