Learning Diversity and Inclusion Teacher, Junior School (girls)

Job Description

The role

A highly skilled, innovative and experienced educator is sought for a full time ongoing position as a Learning Diversity and Inclusion Teacher at our Junior School (Girls).

The Learning Diversity and Inclusion Teacher plays a key role in supporting students with identified learning needs through assessment, planning, coordination, and inclusive teaching practices. 

The role commences in Term 2 2026 and will work closely with Coordinators, Classroom Teachers and Heads of Section to ensure students are effectively supported academically and in their wellbeing.

Duties include:

  • Providing targeted support and intervention for students with learning diversity and inclusion needs
  • Administering and coordinating appropriate assessments and screening tools for identified students 
  • Managing identified students, including completion of formal documentation, and coordinating Student Support Group (SSG) meetings 
  • Supporting teachers in adapting curriculum and assessment practices 
  • Teaching and Co-teaching lessons as required in consultation with the Head of Section
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-prepared learning experiences 
  • Monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records 
  • Assisting with the collection of information for NCCDSSD

The successful applicant will have:

  • Primary qualifications and VIT registration
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with learning diversity and inclusion needs
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and support professionals
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
