Job Description

THE ROLE

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about progressive education and keen to make education meaningful for children. The successful candidate will be a team player, who recognises the importance of working towards a common goal. If you understand the basics of good teaching practice, and have a desire to connect learning to the real world, we’d love to meet you!

  • Time Fraction: Full-time
  • Contract: Fix-term 
  • Date: 20 July - 16 December 2026

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will: 

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum and the school's educational philosophy;
  • Design and facilitate authentic, purpose-driven learning experiences that connect learning to real-world contexts;
  • Use a range of effective teaching strategies to support the diverse learning, wellbeing and developmental needs of students;
  • Create inclusive, challenging and meaningful learning experiences that promote student growth, achievement and engagement;
  • Use formative and summative assessment practices to monitor student progress, inform teaching and support differentiated learning;
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate student progress and achievement to families;
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student learning, progress and wellbeing;
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with students that support learning, wellbeing and a strong sense of belonging.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support student learning and contribute to the broader life of the school;
  • Contribute positively to the culture, values and broader life of the school;
  • Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive, calm and productive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing and learning;
  • Uphold the school's commitment to child safety and wellbeing, including compliance with the Victorian Child Safe Standards and all relevant policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Current VIT registration
  • Current First Aid training
