Head of Year 

Highview College is a growing, co-educational independent Year 7–12 school in Maryborough, Central Victoria, guided by our GRACE values (Growth, Respect, Aspiration, Compassion and Excellence). We are seeking an experienced educator with a strong pastoral focus and a calm, relational approach for the role of Head of Year, commencing Term 2, 2026 (or by negotiation). 

This is a full-time role combining wellbeing leadership and teaching: 0.5 time release for Head of Year responsibilities, and 0.5 teaching (method areas negotiable). The POR tenure is fixed-term until 31 December 2026, with a substantive ongoing teaching position.   

In this role, you will: 

• Provide year level wellbeing leadership, supporting safe, restorative and consistent practice 

• Partner with students, families and staff to monitor engagement, behaviour and attendance (heavily utilising our Learning Management System, SEQTA) 

• Coordinate key year level programs, events and parent/carer checkpoints

Conditions and salary: Per the Highview College Enterprise Agreement (Teacher range $81,984–$122,767 + POR 2 allowance $6,346).
