Individual Needs Teacher

Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools.  With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana, Lochend and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.                     

We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and engaging Individual Needs Teacher for a temporary leave position, commencing immediately and continuing through to the end of the 2026 school year. This position is based at our Glen Waverley Campus. A full-time position is available which may suit two separate part time candidates. Please indicate in your cover letter, if you are interested in full time or part time and if part time, what your ideal time fraction is.

Individual Needs teachers seek to optimise the learning outcomes for students with additional learning needs. This will involve assessing students' needs, liaising with internal and external professionals where necessary, and developing and coordinating an appropriate program. Teaching qualifications and Individual Needs qualifications are essential.  

Experience teaching Years 7 & 8 would be advantageous.
