Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding General Hand to join our Property Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position provides an opportunity for a proactive maintenance professional to assist with a wide variety of set-up, logistics, maintenance and repair tasks across the school.

A full time, permanent position, the hours for the role are Monday-Friday, 7.30am-3.30pm, with opportunities for rostered overtime on occasion.

Safe work practices are required at all times.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Values of respect, responsibility and reverence
  • Outstanding communication, relationship and customer service skills
  • High level of fitness to manage the physical demands of the role
  • Ability to operate various power and hand tools and fire panel isolations (desirable)
  • Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Well-developed IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • EWP license (desirable)
  • Relevant knowledge and training in OH&S (desirable)
  • Current Victorian Driver’s licence
  • Current Level 2 First Aid (or willingness to be trained)
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing
  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee) or VIT
