Job Description

12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Full-Time

The Professional Learning Programs and Partnerships Manager is a newly created role, responsible for supporting the design, curation and ongoing development of ISV’s Professional Learning portfolio.

Working closely with the Head of Professional Learning, this role will help ensure ISV’s Professional Learning offering is relevant, high quality, commercially sustainable and responsive to the needs of member schools. The role will curate programs across agreed learning themes, identify and assess potential delivery partners, and support informed decision-making about new programs, partnerships and learning products.

This is a senior individual contributor role suited to someone who brings strong program, product, partnership and stakeholder capability, with an understanding of adult learning and the ability to translate member needs into practical, well-designed learning offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio curation and program development

  • Support the ongoing design, curation and ongoing refinement of ISV’s Professional Learning portfolio.

  • Ensure agreed learning themes are translated into high-quality programs, products and learning experiences that meet the needs of member schools.

  • Identify gaps, duplication and opportunities to strengthen the overall Professional Learning offering.

  • Work with the Head of Professional Learning to maintain a balanced portfolio across priority learning areas, delivery modes, audience groups and member needs.

  • Support the development of new program concepts, shaping scopes, target audiences, delivery models, value propositions and intended outcomes.

  • Use feedback, participation data and sector insights to inform future program and portfolio planning.

Partnerships and provider assessment

  • Lead the end-to-end process for identifying, assessing and documenting potential delivery partners.

  • Conduct due diligence on prospective partners, assessing capability, reputation, quality, fit, delivery model, cost, risk and alignment with ISV’s objectives.

  • Prepare clear, evidence-based recommendations to support informed go/no-go decision making by the Professional Learning Committee and/or relevant executive stakeholders.

  • Maintain clear documentation of partner assessments, decisions, risks, commercial considerations and agreed next steps.

  • Support effective onboarding and review of partners to ensure quality, consistency and alignment with ISV expectations.

  • Build and maintain strong, constructive relationships with external providers, industry partners and sector stakeholders.

Stakeholder engagement and liaison

  • Act as an additional representative of the Professional Learning function with member schools, partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Engage with member schools to understand current and emerging professional learning needs.

  • Liaise with industry partners, education teams, internal stakeholders and future online learning design partners to support coordinated program development.

  • Work closely with the ISV Education and School Operations team and other internal subject matter experts to align Professional Learning priorities with broader ISV services and member needs.

  • Support the Head of Professional Learning by sharing the stakeholder engagement and meeting responsibilities across key relationships and initiatives.

  • Communicate clearly, professionally and diplomatically across a range of audiences, including school leaders, external providers and internal executive stakeholders.

Online and blended learning integration

  • Support the expansion of Professional Learning content from predominantly physical or partner-led delivery to include online, blended and self-paced learning formats.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external learning design partners to identify programs suitable for online adaptation.

  • Contribute to the development of scalable online learning products that maintain quality, relevance and learner engagement.

  • Support the planning, coordination and documentation required to move selected programs into digital delivery.

  • Ensure online learning products are aligned to adult learning principles, member needs and ISV’s broader Professional Learning strategy.

Commercial and strategic analysis

  • Apply a product and commercial focused lens to Professional Learning programs and partnerships.

  • Review commercial inputs, pricing, costs, participation assumptions, partner models and sustainability considerations.

  • Support evidence-based recommendations on whether programs should be continued, refined, scaled, paused or discontinued.

  • Prepare clear business cases, briefing papers and recommendation documents that are suitable for executive review.

  • Contribute to a more consistent approach to program evaluation, commercial review and portfolio decision-making.
