The Role

This role is ideal for a technically capable IT professional who enjoys a blend of systems administration and hands-on support. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the school’s IT environment, while developing your skills across cloud platforms, infrastructure, and education technologies.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes include:

·         We are looking for someone with a strong service mindset, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment.

·         The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills when working with staff, students, and external stakeholders.

Selection Criteria 

Essential 

Experience in Microsoft Entra, Intune, and modern endpoint management is highly regarded.

Desirable 

·         Experience working in a school environment is advantageous but not essential.

·         Computer Science or Engineering degree would be highly advantageous.

 Key Requirements

  • Proven experience managing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud services, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Defender, firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and telephony systems.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and customer service skills, with the ability to provide advanced support for hardware, software, audiovisual systems, and systems critical to school operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity and IT best practices, including user access management, endpoint protection, backup and disaster recovery, system patching, and compliance with privacy and child safety requirements.
  • Experience delivering IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives, including system upgrades, device deployment and management, documentation, asset management, and service delivery optimisation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to support, train, and communicate effectively with staff, students, families, and external technology providers.
