Year Nine – Year Level Coordinator

This role attracts a Level Five Position of Responsibility allowance (in accordance with the Cathedral College Agreement) and includes a time allocation of 0.2 FTE, with a corresponding teaching load of 0.8 FTE in any Subject. The appointment is a full-time, ongoing position.

The Year Level Coordinator (YLC) is responsible for leading the Homeroom team in coordinating good student performance. The emphasis is on developing a positive and cooperative learning environment, a pride in personal achievement and in the College. The position advertised is a Senior School, Year Nine - Year Level Coordinator.

Well developed communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are vital for effective liaising with administration, staff, students and parents. The YLC is a member of the Wellbeing Team, chaired by the relevant Head of School. After the Homeroom teacher, the YLC manages student welfare and discipline procedures.
