Victory Lutheran College is seeking a passionate educator to join our Secondary School as a Teacher of Sport, Recreation & Physical Education.

This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who believes learning extends beyond the classroom and is committed to helping young people develop confidence, resilience, leadership and a lifelong appreciation for health, recreation and the outdoors. Through engaging practical experiences, outdoor learning opportunities and strong relationships, you will play an important role in supporting students' personal growth, wellbeing and success.

 

POSITION DETAILS

  • Ongoing teaching position commencing January 2027.
  • Secondary Teacher: Sport, Recreation & Physical Education.
  • Opportunity to deliver practical, experiential and outdoor learning programs across Years 7–12.
  • Participation in camps, excursions, outdoor experiences and co-curricular activities as part of the role.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Teacher of Sport, Recreation & Physical Education, you will deliver engaging learning experiences that combine practical, experiential and applied learning approaches. Working alongside colleagues across the Secondary School, you will create opportunities for students to challenge themselves, build character, work collaboratively and develop the skills needed to thrive both at school and beyond. 

You will:

  • Deliver high-quality Sport, Recreation and Outdoor Education programs.
  • Design engaging learning experiences that develop leadership, resilience, teamwork and personal responsibility.
  • Support student wellbeing, participation and engagement through practical and outdoor learning experiences.
  • Foster safe, inclusive and purposeful learning environments.
  • Build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Contribute to camps, excursions, outdoor experiences and co-curricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student learning, wellbeing and achievement.

Specific Qualifications and requirements

  • Qualifications and experience relevant to Sport, Recreation and Physical Education.
  • Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation (or equivalent).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
  • Current VIT registration (or the ability to obtain registration prior to commencement).
