About the role

We are seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated Upper Primary Teachers to join our Middle Years team on a fixed-term basis. Teaching Year 5 or Year 6 students, commencing Term 1, 2027 and concluding at the end of Term 4, 2027.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences aligned with Melbourne Girls Grammar curriculum frameworks

  • Foster students' literacy and numeracy development while supporting their social and emotional wellbeing

  • Create safe, inclusive and collaborative learning environments that cater to diverse learning needs

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and work collaboratively within the Middle Years team

  • Integrate digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes

  • Uphold Melbourne Girls Grammar's Child Safety policies and practices at all times

About you

  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration, or be eligible to obtain registration

  • A strong understanding of curriculum requirements and contemporary teaching practices

  • The ability to build meaningful and respectful relationships with students, colleagues and families

  • A commitment to innovative, student-centred teaching and learning approaches

  • A collaborative and creative mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and positive student outcomes
