Instrumental Music Tutor (Upper Brass)

About the role

Leading independent girls’ school, Camberwell Girls Grammar, presents an opportunity for an Upper Brass tutor to join our staff from Term 1 in 2026.  This is a casual position (approx. 3.5 hours per week) and must be available on Thursdays.

The successful applicant must be appropriately qualified and able to teach Brass to a range of musicians, from beginner to advanced level. CGGS teachers have an excellent understanding of effective pedagogical practices and contemporary learning design with strong interpersonal and communication skills. A passion for girls' education is essential for your success. 

About you

  • Demonstrated experience teaching beginner to advanced level Brass students
  • Proficient in Trumpet, French Horn and knowledge of lower brass (Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Employee Working with Children Clearance or registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
