School Nurse - Sport First Aid Coordinator

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced School Nurse – Sport First Aid Coordinator to join our Health Services team. This role plays a key role in supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our students, with a particular focus on the Saturday sport fixtures and other sporting events.

With a strong emphasis on male adolescent health and sports medicine, this role provides timely clinical care, incident response and health administration to ensure a safe and supportive environment for students, staff and visitors to the School. Key to success in this role is the planning and delivery of health first aid services for the APS Saturday Sport Program, including concussion management protocols, first aid staffing schedules, health administration, and delivering high‑quality clinical nursing care to boys across the Junior School, Senior School and Boarders Health Centre.

Working hours for this role are Friday and Saturday, 8.00am-4.00pm, term time only.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Exceptional organisational skills, with strong eye for detail
  • Well-developed time management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office and ability to work across range of IT systems
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain strictest confidentiality
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • First Aid qualifications (minimum HTLAID0011), Anaphylaxis and CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Familiarity with student wellbeing frameworks and child safety standards
  • Relevant experience in school nursing, sports medicine and emergency care (desirable)
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing
  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee) and Victorian Driver’s License
