About this Role: 

  • Ongoing, Full time Position  
  • Commencing Term 3 2026  
  • Teaching English years 7-12, with VCE English Language experience highly regarded. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and literacy skills 
  • Contribute to curriculum design and assessment practices within the English Faculty 
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to engage diverse learners 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance programs and promote excellence in English 
  • Uphold MGGS’s commitment to child safety in all aspects of teaching and school life

About You:  

  • Demonstrated experience in teaching English at Secondary year levels. VCE English Language experience preferred 
  • A passion for literature, writing, and fostering student voice 
  • Skilled at building meaningful, respectful relationships with students and colleagues 
  • Enthusiastic about introducing innovative, student-centred teaching methods that inspire and engage 
  • Collaborative and creative mindset, committed to enhancing learning programs and student outcomes 
  • Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. Teaching graduates are encouraged to apply
