Position Information

We are seeking an enthusiastic Library Technician to join our school community for Term 3 (13 July - 11 September 2026).  This part time position (0.5FTE) works either 2 or 3 days per week on a regular basis, between 8:30am and 5:00pm.

This role works closely with our Teacher Librarians and school staff to ensure the library runs smoothly and assists in creating a welcoming space where our curious students feel inspired to read, research, and learn.

Regular tasks in this role include:

  • Assisting with day‑to‑day library operations, including circulation and cataloguing;
  • Supporting and encouraging curiosity in our students with resources and research; 
  • Assisting with displays and promotion of library events;
  • Maintaining an organised, inviting, and student‑friendly library space; and
  • Supporting digital resources and library systems.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Working with Children card and police check;
  • A Certificate IV or Diploma in Library and Information Services;
  • Be eligible for ALIA registration;
  • Strong organisational and IT skills;
  • Excellent communication skills; and
  • Experience working with children and a school library.
