Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican day school for boys from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12. ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lifeguard, possessing a mature approach to fostering a safe and supportive environment, as part of our Aquatics department.  

You will be responsible for ensuring the aquatic facilities are safe, clean, and compliant with regulations, by providing adequate supervision, handling regular maintenance, re-stocking supplies, and setting up for bookings.

Additionally, you will manage lane allocation, equipment setup, and operation of scoreboards and AV equipment. You will also monitor pools for safety, provide first aid when needed, and act as a warden during emergencies.

This is a casual role, with an immediate commencement for the successful candidate.

Our programs operate Monday to Sunday from 5.00 am to 7.45 pm, with the opportunity of shifts across various days.

ABOUT YOU

Knowledge & skills:

  • Ability to administer first aid and provide leadership in the case of an emergency 
  • Exceptional customer service skills  
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Previous experience working in an Aquatics area under the principles of best practice and safe pool operations 
  • Understanding of OH&S policies and procedures 
  • A minimum of 12 months experience as a Lifeguard 
  • Knowledge of the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation 

 Qualifications:

  • Pool Lifeguard (SISSS00133 or equivalent) (essential) 
  • Working with Children Check 
  • National Crime Check 
  • Level 2 First Aid and CPR qualification
