Director of Sport
Sport at Melbourne Grammar School is a central part of the School’s educational offering, fostering physical development, teamwork, resilience and a strong sense of belonging. With a long and proud tradition of participation and achievement, the School’s sporting programme provides opportunities for all students to engage in meaningful competition, while also supporting pathways for those who aspire to excel. This leadership position will have a five year tenure.
The Director of Sport is responsible for the strategic leadership and effective operation of the School’s sports programme across Grimwade House, Wadhurst and the Senior School. Working closely with the Heads of Sport and Staff-Members-in-Charge, the Director ensures the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive and well-coordinated programme that aligns with the values and priorities of Melbourne Grammar School.
This is a senior leadership position, responsible for approximately 1,470 student participants from Year 5 to Year 12, and for leading a broad team of staff across all campuses. The role requires high visibility within the School community and active engagement with students, staff, families and external stakeholders. Given the nature of this position, the incumbent will be required to work outside of the School’s standard operational hours to meet key responsibilities.

This position is based at our South Yarra campus with regular travel to our Junior School in Caulfield.
