About this Role:
- Part time, Semester 2, 2026 Position
- Commencing Term 3 2026
- Teaching English years 7 & 8 , 24 periods per cycle. 0.65FTE
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Years 7 & 8 that foster critical thinking, creativity, and literacy skills
- Contribute to curriculum design and assessment practices within the English Faculty
- Use a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to engage diverse learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance programs and promote excellence in English
- Uphold MGGS’s commitment to child safety in all aspects of teaching and school life
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in teaching English at Secondary year levels.
- A passion for literature, writing, and fostering student voice
- Skilled at building meaningful, respectful relationships with students and colleagues
- Enthusiastic about introducing innovative, student-centred teaching methods that inspire and engage
- Collaborative and creative mindset, committed to enhancing learning programs and student outcomes
- Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. Teaching graduates are encouraged to apply.
