Job Description

  • Part-time, 6 month fixed-term position
  • High performing independent girls’ school
  • Term 3, 2026 start date

About the Role

As we continue to build upon our success, an exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Health and PE Teacher, to join our school community for the 2026 academic year.

This full-time fixed term role and reports into the Head of Health and PE. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an engaging and innovative Health and PE curriculum in the Senior School.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:

  • Current VIT Registration.
  • Previous experience teaching Health and PE.
  • A current knowledge of Australian Curriculum imperatives as they impact on Health and PE.
  • Proven VCE performance and outcomes.
  • Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and willingness to embrace the St Catherine’s Teaching for Thinking culture.
  • Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
  • An active supporter of and contributor to a collegial work environment.
  • Demonstrated innovative use of ICT to enrich learning.
  • Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times.
