The Role
Leading independent girls’ school, Camberwell Girls Grammar School, presents an opportunity for a Community Engagement (Alum) Coordinator to join our team on a permanent part-time basis (approx. 0.8 FTE).  This is a term time only role with an additional 5 working days during the school holidays throughout the year. The successful candidate will ideally commence prior to the end of Term 3 to facilitate a structured handover. Commencement date is negotiable.

Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening lifelong relationships between Camberwell Girls Grammar School and its alum community. You will coordinate the activities of the Old Grammarians Association (OGA), support alum volunteers and deliver communications, engagement initiatives and events that foster lifelong connection with the School.

 

You will make an impact by:

  • Coordinating and facilitating the planning and delivery of alum engagement and community building initiatives, ensuring activities are well planned, welcoming, inclusive, professionally delivered and aligned with school values.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between the School and OGA, coordinate OGA meetings, communications, records and associated administrative requirements.
  • Managing alum volunteer engagement activities, including recruitment, onboarding, communication and recognition initiatives.
  • Developing and delivering communications and digital engagement initiatives that promote alum engagement opportunities, strengthen lifelong connections with the School and encourage participation in community activities.
  • Working collaboratively with Engagement and Marketing team members to ensure coordinated and effective communication with alum, volunteers and other stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate records, use stakeholder insights, digital tools and relationship management practices to strengthen lifelong engagement with alum.

 

To be successful in this role…

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and community engagement, relationship management, events, customer service or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating engagement initiatives, communications, events, programs or activities involving volunteers and multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive and productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, whilst managing competing priorities and deadlines with a high level of service.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital communication, CRM and collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications or Post Graduate qualifications in community engagement, communications, events, marketing, public relations, customer service, business administration or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Criminal History Police Check
