School Nurse (casual)

Casual opportunities are available for outstanding and dedicated nurses.

About the Role
We are seeking talented nurses to join our dynamic Health Services team. With flexible opportunities across morning, afternoon, weekend and overnight shifts, these rewarding casual roles provide the chance to support the health, wellbeing and safety of students across the Junior and Senior schools, Boarding House and the APS Saturday Sports program. Working within a caring and collaborative environment, you will provide professional nursing care, responding to health issues and injuries across the school community.

About You
The successful applicant will have:

  • Values of excellence, respect, responsibility and reverence
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, marked by integrity and compassion
  • Ability to build positive relationships, trust and rapport with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community
  • Flexibility to work up to 2-3 on campus shifts per week and/or the Saturday sports program
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with strong eye for detail
  • Well-developed time management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office and ability to work across range of IT systems
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain strictest confidentiality
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • First Aid qualification HTLAID0011 and Anaphylaxis (or willing to obtain)
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and experience in school nursing (desirable)
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License
  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
