 Job Description

We are seeking two trainees to join our Beacon Explorers team in 2027, to work across both our Pakenham & Berwick campuses.

  • Two Full-Time trainee positions available
  • Trainee salary for this position is $50,165
  • Commencing 11 January 2027
  • Concluding 15 December 2028
  • 2-year traineeship
  • Get qualified with a Cert IV in Outdoor Leadership
  • The successful candidate must hold or be in the process of obtaining a Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee) and a current Police check (valid within 12 months)

This entry-level traineeship offers the opportunity for the successful applicant to gain a nationally recognised qualification while gaining experience working in the field of Outdoor Education & Recreation. Ideally you will be completing Year 12 in 2026 or have completed your VCE recently, and are interested in a career in this area, or plan to undertake a gap year to gain some qualifications and experience. Training in Outdoor Education should be a considered a balance of practical experience and theoretical knowledge.

Our Beacon Explorers Trainees are primarily responsible for providing support and assistance to the Head of Experiential and Head of Beacon Explorers program. You must thrive on working as part of a team of dedicated professionals who operate in a busy, deadline-driven environment. You will be expected to support the College’s aims, policies and procedures at all times.
