Applications are invited for the position of Student Wellbeing Practitioner in our Waymaker Centre, from passionate and caring individuals with a strong commitment to Christian education. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of youth work and/or social work theories and practices and relevant skills and experience in applying this knowledge in an education setting. This is a permanent, 0.8 FTE position based at our Carrum Downs campus.
The Wellbeing Practitioner assists and supports in the engagement of young people and facilitates proactive and preventative practices and initiatives for the holistic development and wellbeing of Waymaker students and families. The Wellbeing Practitioner plays a key role in supporting students who require guidance and support, providing direction to staff and families in assisting students’ personal development through the conceptual frameworks of unconditional positive regard and restorative practice.
The Student Wellbeing Practitioner role follows the school calendar and provides regular school‑holiday breaks throughout the year. Salary is evenly distributed, ensuring consistent pay while enjoying extended time off during holiday periods.
