ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and passionate VCE Mathematical Methods Teacher to join our Senior School team, in a progressive, supportive and well-resourced educational environment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience teaching VCE Mathematical Methods and a proven capacity to inspire students to achieve strong academic outcomes.

Working collaboratively with a team of experienced educators, you will deliver engaging Mathematics curriculum to our students in Years 9 - 12. We are seeking an enthusiastic and reflective practitioner who is committed to evidence based pedagogy, mathematical inquiry and excellence in teaching and learning. You will play an important role in supporting students to achieve their academic potential, while supporting the broader development of our students.

This is a full time (FTE 1.0) permanent ongoing position, commencing at the beginning of Term 1, 2027.

In addition, all teaching staff are required to participate in one season of the AGSV Sports Program, either through coaching or managing a sporting team, as part of their broader responsibilities at Camberwell Grammar School. This role also involves additional co-curricular responsibilities, including Year Level Camps and the Friday Activities Program, and encompasses pastoral care responsibilities.

ABOUT YOU

You are a passionate educator who brings energy, sound evidence based pedagogical approaches and expertise to the Mathematics curriculum. You possess strong knowledge of the current VCE Mathematical Methods study design, with a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and ensuring all students are supported to thrive.

You will also have:

• Relevant teaching qualifications in Mathematics Education.
• Current Teacher Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Demonstrated ability to support VCE Mathematics students to achieve strong academic outcomes.
• The capacity to plan and deliver engaging and purposeful Mathematics learning experiences for students in Years 9-12.
• Anaphylaxis training certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, coupled with the adaptability to respond effectively to changing circumstances.
• A willingness to contribute to pastoral, academic and co-curricular programs, fostering a dynamic learning community committed to the development of the whole person.
• Alignment with our values and a desire to contribute to a collaborative, sustainable, and welcoming campus community.
