About the Role

As we continue to build upon our success, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic VCE English Teacher to join our School community in a full-time, ongoing capacity, commencing at the start of the 2027 academic school year.

In this key role, reporting to the Head of English, the successful candidate will inspire students' love for English through engaging, analytical, and inquiry-based lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a deep appreciation of literature and language.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:

• Current VIT Registration.
• Previous experience teaching English across years 7 - 12
• VCE experience essential.
• A current knowledge of Australian Curriculum imperatives as they impact on English.
• Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and willingness to embrace the St Catherine’s Teaching for Thinking culture.
• Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
• An active supporter of and contributor to a collegial work environment.
• Demonstrated innovative use of ICT to enrich learning.
• Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times.
