ABOUT US
Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican day school for boys from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12. We aim to give every student in our care the very best education in order to prepare them for life beyond school. We are a learning community, which encourages staff, students, past students and parents to involve themselves fully in all aspects of school life and to identify themselves with its values: Learning, Respect, Integrity, Courage and Optimism. We are proud of the warm spirit and sense of community that characterises our school family.
Our school campus is located in the leafy inner east suburb of Canterbury, on land originally inhabited by the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, and blends period architecture with exciting contemporary design and state-of-the-art facilities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised School Program Coordinator to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of school based aquatic programs at Camberwell Grammar School.
Working closely with the Aquatics Manager, you will coordinate programs for internal CGS students, visiting schools and community organisations, ensuring programs are well planned, efficiently scheduled and delivered to a high standard. You will be the key link between schools, program administration and the pool deck, coordinating people, facilities, timetables and resources to ensure a seamless experience.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with visiting and prospective schools and community organisations, managing enquiries, bookings, contracts and program feedback, while identifying opportunities to grow and enhance our aquatic programs.
The role also provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of new community initiatives, including Water Safety Programs and tailored programs for diverse communities.
This is a part-time (0.73 FTE), term-time-only position, working 28 hours per week across Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 2.30 pm, with two days finishing at 2.45 pm. We are happy to discuss the working arrangement with the successful candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery and growth of aquatic programs within a supportive and well-resourced school environment.
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly organised and proactive professional who enjoys coordinating complex programs, managing competing priorities and building strong relationships.
You will bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with schools, community organisations and internal stakeholders, manage expectations and identify opportunities to develop lasting partnerships.
You are a strong planner with excellent attention to detail and a practical, solutions focused approach. You can anticipate challenges, respond calmly under pressure and bring together people, facilities and resources to achieve successful program outcomes.
You will have a sound understanding of aquatic programs and pool-deck operations, together with strong digital and administrative skills. You are confident working with data, scheduling and systems, and enjoy finding ways to improve processes and program delivery.
Importantly, you are approachable, dependable and willing to be hands on, with a genuine commitment to providing high quality experiences for students, schools and community groups.
