Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Textiles and Visual Arts Teacher to join our Pakenham Campus in a fixed-term position commencing January 2027 and concluding 12 October 2027. The successful applicant will be a passionate educator with experience in Textiles and Visual Arts, committed to fostering creativity, student engagement, and high-quality learning outcomes.

  • Fixed-term position from January 2027 to 12 October 2027
  • 0.876 to 1.0 FTE, depending on the successful applicant
  • Based at our Pakenham Campus
  • Teaching load includes:
    • Year 10 Textiles
    • Year 7 Textiles
    • Year 5 Textiles
    • Year 3 Visual Arts
  • Potential to teach additional Senior School Textiles classes in the future
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality learning programs that inspire creativity and student achievement
  • Foster positive and respectful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Use assessment and feedback to inform teaching practice and improve student outcomes
  • Differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Support student wellbeing and encourage responsibility for learning
  • Contribute to the broader life of the College, including curriculum, co-curricular, and experiential learning programs
  • Current VIT registration is required
  • Tertiary qualifications in Education are required
  • Experience teaching Textiles and/or Visual Arts is highly regarded
  • All new teachers are assigned a mentor and encouraged to participate in our comprehensive mentoring program to support their professional growth and success at the College.
