Job Description

ABOUT US

Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican day school for boys from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12. We aim to give every student in our care the very best possible education in order to prepare them for life beyond school. We are a learning community, which encourages staff, students, past students and parents to involve themselves fully in all aspects of school life and to identify themselves with its values: Learning, Respect, Integrity, Courage and Optimism. We are proud of the warm spirit and sense of community that characterises our school family.

Our school campus is located in the leafy inner east suburb of Canterbury, on land originally inhabited by the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, and blends period architecture with exciting contemporary design and state-of-the-art facilities.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reflective educator to join Camberwell Grammar School in a unique combined role as Digital Learning (AI) Coach and Computing and Science Teacher. This is an opportunity to contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the School by supporting colleagues to integrate digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) thoughtfully and purposefully into their teaching practice, while delivering engaging and challenging Computing and Science curriculum to students in the Middle and Senior School.

In this role, you will work in partnership with teachers to explore how digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance teaching and learning. Drawing on a strong understanding of pedagogy and an interest in emerging technologies, you will help colleagues identify opportunities to meaningfully integrate digital learning and AI into their classroom practice.

You will support teachers to move from experimentation to purposeful application, sharing practical strategies and helping colleagues build the confidence to use digital tools and AI thoughtfully, appropriately and effectively. Through collaboration and professional learning, you will help teachers make informed decisions about how technology can enrich their teaching practice and improve student learning.

Computing and Science Teacher – Teaching Responsibilities (0.5)

As part of our Middle and Senior School teams, you will deliver engaging and challenging Computing and Science curriculum to students across Years 7–10. Working collaboratively with a team of experienced educators, you will plan and deliver purposeful learning experiences grounded in evidence-based pedagogy, computing and scientific inquiry, and high expectations for student achievement.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience teaching Computing and Science across Years 7–10 and a proven capacity to support students to achieve strong academic outcomes. You will play an important role in supporting students to achieve their academic potential while contributing to the broader development of our students in a progressive, supportive and well-resourced educational environment.

This is a full time (FTE 1.0) permanent ongoing position, commencing at the beginning of Term 1, 2027.

In addition, all teaching staff are required to participate in one season of the AGSV Sports Program, either through coaching or managing a sporting team, as part of their broader responsibilities at Camberwell Grammar School. This role also involves additional co-curricular responsibilities, including Year Level Camps and the Friday Activities Program, and encompasses pastoral care responsibilities.

ABOUT YOU
