Manager of Marketing and Communications

Job Description

ELTHAM College is seeking an experienced, energetic and collaborative Manager of Marketing and Communications to lead the College's marketing, communications, events, engagement and customer experience functions.

Reporting to the Director of Business and Operations, the Manager of Marketing and Communications leads a dedicated team across communications, marketing, events and stakeholder engagement.

About the Role

The role is responsible for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the College's strategic marketing and communications initiatives
  • Strengthening brand reputation and community engagement
  • Enhancing stakeholder and customer experience across the full College journey
  • Driving student recruitment and retention initiatives
  • Managing campaigns, publications, digital communications, events and partnerships
  • Using data, research and insights to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Building strong relationships with families, alumni, community groups, agencies and external partners
  • Leading and developing a high-performing and collaborative team

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who combines strategic thinking with operational delivery and enjoys working in a dynamic school environment.

About you

You will bring:

  • Proven leadership experience in marketing, communications or stakeholder engagement
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong strategic planning and project management capability
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing and communication plans
  • A customer-centric mindset with a focus on community engagement and service excellence
  • The ability to influence, collaborate and build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience using data and insights to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making
  • Creativity, initiative and a proactive approach to leadership
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child safe practices

    Experience within education or purpose-driven organisations will be highly regarded.
