Job Description
Luther College is thrilled to be able to offer two Heads of Year Level Leadership positions in 2027; Head of Year 8 and Head of Year 9.
Heads of Year Level at Luther play a pivotal role to the success of the students during their time here with us, blending between facilitating Academic and Pastoral care success for our students.
Working closely with the Head of Middle Years, the Heads of Year are responsible for the leadership and development of a positive culture within the year level cohort that will effectively support each individual’s academic, social, emotional and spiritual development. They will work to engage, monitor and support students in the year level with a particular focus on academic tracking and monitoring. The role requires proactive engagement and communication with students, their parents and college staff.
These Positions of Responsibility are for a three year term, but come with an ongoing substantive teaching role.
