The Position

Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak is seeking a skilled and highly collaborative Application and Database Integration Specialist to support the implementation of Schoolbox, a key platform that will enhance teaching, learning and student engagement across the School.

This 12 month full time, fixed term contract is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant digital transformation project while ensuring continuity of critical data and system operations.

Working closely with the Application and Database Administrator and reporting to the Director of Digital Transformation, you will play a central role in the Schoolbox project and assist in designing and delivering a secure and cohesive suite of information systems (e.g. Schoolbox, Clipboard, Synergetic, etc.). You will support data migration from our current learning management system, testing, go-live and post-implementation activities, while maintaining a high standard of data accuracy, integrity and security.

In addition to project delivery, you will contribute to the day-to-day administration of SQL databases, support application and data integrations through ETL/ELT processes and APIs and maintain cloud-based data and analytics platforms including Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. The role balances project delivery with business-as-usual support, ensuring staff have reliable and secure access to data throughout a period of change.

About You

We are seeking a degree qualified, technically strong IT professional with experience in database administration and application integration, preferably within a cloud-based environment. Strong SQL skills, an understanding of data privacy, information security, and governance coupled with the ability to work collaboratively under pressure are essential. Experience in education systems and with Power BI, ETL tooling or workflow automation will be highly regarded. 

Importantly you will demonstrate integrity, discretion and a calm, methodical approach, confidently balancing project delivery with business as usual priorities. A sound understanding of compliance obligations, including child safety, privacy and ICT policies will also be required.
