Casual Examination Supervisors

Job Description

Melbourne Girls Grammar is seeking reliable, professional and detail-oriented Examination Supervisors to support VCE and Senior Years examinations.

This is a casual position involving supervision of GAT external assessments, VCE examinations, and MGGS Senior Years exams. Shifts typically occur between 8:00am and 6:00pm during peak examination periods, with additional casual opportunities available throughout the year.

  • Ability to effectively supervise and manage groups of students
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Sound judgement and ability to respond to unexpected situations
  • High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Minimum requirements

  • Valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) or VIT registration
  • Availability Monday–Friday during VCAA examination periods (approx. 8:00am–6:00pm)
  • Ability to meet VCAA eligibility requirements (outlined below)
  • Previous VCAA supervision experience or scribe/reader experience highly regarded

To be eligible to be a VCAA Examination Supervisor, the person cannot be:

  • Be related to or associated with any student undertaking a Unit 3 and 4 subject at MGGS
  • Be teaching VCE Unit 3 and 4 at any school during 2026
  • Be tutoring any MGGS student undertaking a Unit 3 and 4 subject in 2026
  • Be related to or associated with any person teaching, tutoring or coaching a Unit 3 & 4 MGGS student in 2026
  • Be currently employed by Melbourne Girls Grammar as a teacher or member of the administration staff
