The Role

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School is seeking a dedicated Percussion Teacher for a part-time (0.2546) fixed term position from 10 August to 4 September 2026 and involves working one day a week at the Keilor East campus. Our preferred day is Monday, but this can be negotiated.

As an Instrumental Music Teacher of Percussion, you will provide individual instrumental lessons and have the opportunity to teach students from Year 7 to Year 12, fostering their musical growth and development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following: 

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching Percussion
  • Ability to engage and inspire students in the programme
  • Ability work effectively with students, parents and staff
  • Support for a culture of thinking and student care and wellbeing
  • Support for the School's music events and activities

Applicants must be suitably qualified and experienced and hold either VIT registration or a current Working With Children Check. You must also be eligible to work in Australia.
