Job Description

Carey Baptist Grammar School is seeking a customer-focused and technically capable Service Desk Analyst to join our Information Technology team! 

This role is responsible for providing face-to-face, phone, email and virtual IT support to staff, students and parents, ensuring the effective use of technology across the School. As the first point of contact for IT support, you will troubleshoot technical issues, manage and prioritise service requests, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced school environment.

This is a full-time, fixed-term two-year contract with an immediate start preferred. The position is Monday to Friday, with standard hours of 8:00am–4:00pm and one to two days per week working 9:00am–5:00pm to provide late shift coverage at the Service Desk counter.

The role:

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support to staff, students and parents via face-to-face, phone and remote channels.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to devices, operating systems, applications and school technologies.
  • Support and maintain Windows and Apple devices, including device setup, deployment and inventory management.
  • Provide support for classroom and event audio-visual technologies.
  • Manage and prioritise service requests, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution through the School's ticketing system.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing and the delivery of exceptional customer service across the School community.

What do I need to succeed?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous experience working in a Service Desk, IT support or customer-facing technical support environment.
  • A strong customer service mindset, with a genuine desire to help others and deliver a positive user experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, remain organised and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • A professional, collaborative and positive approach, aligned with Carey's values of Care, Respect and Growth.
