The Role
This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate primary educator with a Special Education background, to make a meaningful impact at one of Victoria’s leading independent girls’ schools.
This role offers a 0.6 FTE teaching load and a 0.4 FTE position of responsibility load, with an ideal commencement in Term 3 or an alternative date to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
The Junior School Learning Enhancement Leader is a key leadership position within the Junior School, responsible for leading the Junior School’s Learning Enhancement Department (LED), overseeing three areas of need: the gifted and talented program, special abilities/learning support and EAL from Preparatory to Year 6.
The Junior School Learning Enhancement Leader will work with the Junior School Head of Curriculum and Pedagogy to ensure the provision of a leading edge, relevant and rigorous 21st century education that caters for the needs of girls of today.
About You
You are an accomplished primary educator with the ability to differentiate for a wide range of abilities and learning styles, supported by a relevant postgraduate qualification in Special Education.
You are committed to fostering inclusive, meaningful learning environments and can work closely with colleagues to ensure every student is supported, challenged, and able to participate fully in their learning.
With a strong grasp of contemporary diagnostic tools and evidence-informed practice, you apply current research to support targeted teaching and learning.
