Job Description

  • Lead Highview's extracurricular Music Program - bands, choirs, ensembles and instrumental tuition - with 0.3 time release, and teach classroom Music (0.7 teaching load) across Years 7-12, including VCE

  • Commencing Term 1 2027

  • Leadership opportunity: a 3-year POR tenure attached to an ongoing teaching position

  • Teacher salary range $84,443-$126,450 depending on level, plus POR 2 allowance of $6,536 per annum

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Co-ordinator of Music Programs leads Highview's extracurricular Music Program and teaches classroom Music across all year levels.

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Current VIT registration (or capacity to attain), with a relevant teaching qualification and strong capacity in classroom Music teaching

  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading music programs, ensembles and/or bands

  • Strong organisational, scheduling and budget management skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
