Admissions Manager

$83,607 - $89,003 yearly

Job Description

About Preshil

Preshil, Melbourne’s oldest progressive co-educational Independent school, offers education from Kindergarten to Y12. At Preshil, we nurture critical and creative thinkers in a warm, inclusive environment with strong student-teacher relationships. Guided by the values of Mutual Respect, Courage and Collaboration, Preshil promotes independence, curiosity, and confidence, encouraging students to be thoughtful, active citizens.

Challenging traditional education, Preshil values individuality and fulfilment alongside academic excellence. We're an Original school, made for Originals.

About the Role

The Admissions Manager is primarily responsible for managing enrolment enquiries, guiding prospective families through the enrolment process, and completing enrolment registrations.  While this position will focus on enrolments for the Blackhall (Secondary School) campus, the Admissions Manager will work collaboratively with the Admissions Manager responsible for the Arlington (Primary School) campus to ensure a seamless and consistent admissions experience across Preshil.

Both Admissions Managers are expected to provide mutual support and work flexibly across both campuses from time to time to meet the operational needs of the School.

The Admissions Manager is often the first point of contact for prospective families and represents the School within the community throughout the admissions journey. Accordingly, the role requires a strong understanding and appreciation of Preshil's philosophy, values and progressive approach to education, together with the ability to communicate these effectively and authentically to a diverse range of prospective families and stakeholders.

Initially based at the Blackhall Campus, 12–26 Sackville Street, Kew, this role will relocate to the School's new Lincoln Square Campus in Carlton from 2028, and will focus on admissions for Y9-12 students.

About You

You're a people person with a sharp eye for detail and a calm, confident approach to managing complex processes. You bring warmth, professionalism and exceptional customer service to every interaction, recognising the importance of creating a positive experience for prospective families from their first enquiry through to enrolment.

You may come from a background in admissions, enrolments, education, administration or customer service. What matters most is your ability to build trusted relationships, communicate with empathy and professionalism, and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and care.

You're confident using digital systems, enjoy working collaboratively, and exercise sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive information. Most importantly, you're excited by the opportunity to contribute to a progressive school community and are inspired by Preshil's commitment to creativity, individuality and meaningful relationships.
