Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School seeks an exceptional Mathematics educator to join our empowerED learning program, launching in 2027. This role would particularly suit an educator who is energised by the opportunity to influence educational innovation, foster enhanced student agency, and work alongside colleagues who are committed to reimagining learning for the future.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and highly effective teacher with demonstrated expertise in teaching Mathematics across Years 7-10 and a commitment to fostering curiosity, challenge, and academic excellence. The ability to also teach VCE Mathematics and Years 7-10 Science will be highly regarded.
empowerED Learning Program
Purposefully designed to foster student agency, empowerED enhances opportunities for students to engage in real world project-based learning, design thinking, and transdisciplinary projects. The successful candidate will bring experience in these pedagogies and a passion for creating meaningful learning experiences that connect students with industry experts, community partners, and real-world challenges and impacts. They will thrive within a flexible, deconstructed timetable and be passionate about empowering students to take ownership of their learning while developing the skills and capabilities required for an ever-changing world.
As a Learning Coach, the successful applicant will work closely with a dedicated crew of students, supporting their academic growth, personal development, wellbeing, and future aspirations. They will build strong partnerships with families and colleagues, ensuring each learner is known, challenged, and supported to achieve success.
Experience in innovative curriculum design, project based learning, design thinking, team teaching, the effective integration of digital and emerging technologies, and working alongside industry experts will be highly regarded.
