College Archivist

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Archivist to join our Marketing and Enrolments Team. 

The College Archivist is responsible for managing key College collections.

This includes both digital and non-digital material collections; publications, records, pictures, films etc. Management of materials is inclusive of classifying, storing and retrieval of College archival assets.  

The successful candidate must have excellent organisational and communication skills. They will possess flexibility to handle multiple tasks and the ability to prioritise their work, with professional attention to detail.  

Key Details 

  • This is a part time, ongoing position 
  • Working 2 days per week  (0.40 FTE /15.2 hours) working days negotiable 
  • Commencing as soon as possible or by negotiation
  • This position works during term time only and is entitled to 13 weeks annual leave
  • This is a multi campus position but will predominantly be based at the Pakenham Campus. 
  • This position requires a current employee WWCC and police check (issued within the last 3 months)  

Position Responsibilities 

  • Manage and maintain the College archives and historical records.
  • Provide archival images and historical content for publications, digital channels and marketing materials.
  • Recommendation and administration of archive management software
  • Maintenance of relevant documents
  • Cataloguing of materials
  • Management or storage areas and preservation of the collection items
